Web and software development

Websites, online stores, web apps, management software and integrations, built with SEO and security from day one. Code, domain and data stay yours.

Web development is the design and build of websites, online stores, web apps and software that run in the browser. A web agency that also does SEO and security delivers something Google can find, that stands up to attacks and that stays your property: code, domain, access and data.

We are an Italian agency and we work online, with clients across Italy and abroad. If you are a foreign company entering the Italian market, or a business that needs a site in more than one language, we design the structure around the searches of each market from the start.

What a web agency that also does SEO and security delivers

Many web projects are built in separate pieces: someone does the design, someone writes the code, and months later someone else tries to bring in traffic. The typical result is a site that has to be partly rebuilt, because its structure does not follow what customers search for, or because nobody thought about backups and updates.

We work the other way round. Every project starts from three questions: what your customers search for, what data the system has to protect, and who will be running it a year from now. That gives us three concrete things we hand over to you, on top of the product itself:

  • the map of pages or features, tied to real searches and to your goals;
  • technical and security documentation: how it is built, where it runs, how it is updated, how to restore it from a backup;
  • all the access: code repository, domain, server, admin panels and measurement tools.

Web and software development services

These are the services we offer. For a quote on any of them, tell us about your project.

  • Website design and build: company and brochure websites designed for SEO, from €1,500 plus VAT.
  • Landing pages: a single page with a single goal for Google Ads, social or email campaigns, connected to conversion tracking, from €500 plus VAT.
  • WordPress websites: fast, secure sites that are easy to update yourself, with as few plugins as possible and all access in your name.
  • Custom software: applications built around your processes when off-the-shelf programs are not enough.
  • Custom management software: orders, inventory, customers and documents in a single system, with data migrated from Excel or your old program.
  • Web apps: web applications with users, permissions and a database, accessible from any browser.
  • E-commerce: online stores with payments, shipping and product pages built to be found.
  • Apps and PWAs: installable progressive web apps and mobile apps, with an honest comparison of the options.
  • Website security and maintenance: updates, backups, monitoring and recovery if your site has been hacked.
  • WordPress maintenance: ongoing support with tested updates, verified backups and a monthly report.
  • Websites for hotels and accommodation: direct bookings, rooms, multiple languages and speed, without losing visibility on the OTAs.
  • SEO site migration: changing domain, CMS or structure without losing your rankings.
  • API integrations and automation: website, management software, CRM and AI models that talk to each other.

Web agency, software house or freelancer: the differences

They are three different ways of working, and none of them is right for everyone.

  • Web agency. Usually handles websites, online stores and communication: design, content, sometimes SEO and campaigns. It is the natural choice if the site has to bring in customers.
  • Software house. Focuses on building applications and management systems, often with larger teams and structured processes. It suits large software projects, less so if you also need visibility and marketing.
  • Freelancer. A single professional, often specialized in one technology. They may cost less and respond faster, but the project depends on one person: check what happens if they are not available.

We are a web agency that also builds software: websites, web apps, management systems and integrations, with SEO, content and campaigns in the same team. If your project needs a very large development team, we will tell you during the analysis.

How we work: the process, step by step

  1. Free project analysis. Goals, users, data to manage, existing systems, time and budget constraints. If you already have a site, we start from what brings in traffic and leads.
  2. Specification and quote. We put features, pages, integrations, timelines and costs in writing. Anything not written down is not included, so there are no surprises.
  3. Design. Information architecture, data model and screen mockups for your approval. For software, we start with a first version that has the essential features.
  4. Incremental development. We show you the work in a staging environment at regular intervals, so you can change course before the end.
  5. Testing and launch. We test features, performance, security and technical SEO, then go live with a plan to roll back if something goes wrong.
  6. Measurement and maintenance. We monitor indexing, performance and errors, keep the software up to date and improve where the data points.

We choose the technology for each project: WordPress for sites you manage yourself, React with TanStack Start and server-side rendering for fast websites and web apps, PHP with CodeIgniter 4, Python and Node.js for backends and automation, MySQL or PostgreSQL for data, Ubuntu Linux servers with nginx, API integrations and AI models via API.

Security by design: what it means in practice

Security is not a plugin you add at the end. We set it up from day one, with clear rules:

  • an isolated user for each application on the server, so a problem in one project does not spread to the others;
  • least privilege: every user, service and key has only the permissions it needs;
  • secrets never in the code or the repository: passwords and API keys live in separate configuration;
  • HTTPS everywhere, a firewall and automatic security updates for the operating system;
  • verified backups: making them is not enough, we test restoring them;
  • incremental, reversible deployments: every change can be undone in a few steps.

Our reference is the OWASP Top 10:2025, the list of the most critical security risks for web applications. Broken Access Control is in first place, and the new entries include software supply chain failures, meaning third-party libraries and components. When a project handles your customers' personal data, we help you decide who can access what and where it is stored.

SEO from day one, not after launch

Doing SEO on a site that is already built costs more than designing it properly in the first place. That is why SEO goes into the specification:

  • architecture and URLs based on what customers actually search for, with one page for each intent;
  • server-side rendering, so Google reads the content without depending on JavaScript;
  • structured data, sitemaps, and editable titles and meta descriptions;
  • Core Web Vitals: according to web.dev, a good experience means LCP within 2.5 seconds, INP within 200 milliseconds and CLS within 0.1, measured at the 75th percentile of visits;
  • planned redirects when an existing site is rebuilt, as Google recommends in its site move guidance.

After launch, if you want to grow traffic, our SEO consulting carries the work forward on the same data. If the site targets several countries or languages, international SEO takes care of the structure for each market.

No lock-in: the project stays yours

Source code, domain, server access and data belong to the client. The domain is registered in your name, the code sits in a repository you have access to, and on delivery you receive the documentation needed to hand it over to another provider. If you ever stop working with us, you take everything with you.

How to choose a web agency: a checklist

This list is useful even if you end up choosing someone else. Before you sign, ask:

  1. Who owns the code, the domain and the data? The answer must be in the contract: you do.
  2. What is included in the quote and what is not? Content, photos, hosting, maintenance, cookies and privacy, usability and accessibility checks.
  3. How do you handle security? Ask about backups, updates and what happens if the site is attacked.
  4. Is SEO part of the project or extra? If you are rebuilding a site, ask who prepares the redirect map.
  5. Who looks after the project? A name and a direct contact, not a generic address.
  6. What happens after launch? Response times, maintenance costs, who updates the software.
  7. Can I see previous work and talk to clients? A serious provider will put you in touch with people who have worked with them.
  8. Is the site built with care down to the details? A cookie banner with real consent, readable contrast, keyboard navigation and alt text for images.

How much web development costs

Indicative starting prices, plus VAT: brochure website from €1,500, company website from €3,000, online store from €5,000, landing page or single piece of work from €500. Web apps, custom software, management systems, apps and PWAs and integrations are quoted individually, after a free project analysis. Maintenance, updates and security start at €300 a month, with no lock-in: no multi-year contract, every month you decide whether to continue.

The cost depends on the number of pages and features, user roles and permissions, integrations with other systems, data to migrate, content to write, security requirements and the level of maintenance after launch.

Who looks after your project

Your point of contact is Eugenio Tommasi, who has been doing SEO since 2009 and builds websites and software. The choices he proposes are ones he has already tested on his own projects, and this website runs on the same stack we use for clients: React with TanStack Start and server-side rendering. You have one point of contact for development, SEO, content and campaigns, so technical and marketing decisions are made together. We work online with clients across Italy and abroad; what an SEO agency should deliver is explained on its own page.

The first step

Tell us about your project: for a quote on a website, software or an integration, get in touch and we will start with the free project analysis. If you already have a site and want to know whether it needs rebuilding or just fixing, tell us that too.

Frequently asked questions

What is a web agency and what does it do?

A web agency designs and builds websites, online stores and web applications, often together with design, content and online promotion. We also handle SEO, security and campaigns, so the site is built to be found and stays protected after launch.

Do I need maintenance after launch?

Yes. Software, plugins and servers need updating, backups need to be verified and errors monitored, otherwise the site becomes vulnerable and slows down. The level of maintenance is agreed in the quote.

Can you take over a website or software built by another provider?

Yes. First we check the code, updates, security and who the domain and access are registered to, then we tell you whether it is better to fix it or rebuild it. If the URL structure changes, we also prepare the redirects.

Can you build a multilingual site for the Italian market and abroad?

Yes. We work online with clients in Italy and abroad, and we plan the structure of the site around the searches of each market from the start, with the redirects and international SEO setup that a multilingual site needs.
