Website development
Brochure and company websites designed for SEO from day one: fast, accessible and secure, with code and domain that stay yours. From €1,500 + VAT.
Our website development starts from a simple question: what are your customers searching for, and what should happen when they land on your site? We design and build brochure and company websites that are fast, accessible and ready for Google, with code, domain and data that stay yours. An SEO-friendly website starts at €1,500 + VAT.
We are an Italian agency and we work online, with clients across Italy and abroad. If you are a foreign company that wants to be found in Italy, or a business that needs a site in Italian and English, we plan the pages around the searches of each market. Write to us in Italian, English, Spanish, German or Portuguese.
On this page: the types of website we build, the pages a company website needs, when to choose WordPress and when custom development, what we include for SEO, performance, usability, privacy and security, timelines and pricing.
Who this service is for, and who it is not for
It is a good fit if:
- you do not have a website yet, or you have an old one that brings in no enquiries;
- you need to rebuild your site without losing the rankings and traffic you already have;
- you want a site built on what your customers actually search for, not just a nice design;
- you want your website, SEO and campaigns to work together, with one point of contact instead of suppliers who never talk to each other.
It is not for you if you only want a design to hand over to someone else, with no thought for content, structure or measurement. And if you want to try a website builder yourself, that can be a reasonable start for a small business: once you need organic traffic, integrations or more than one language, you hit the limits quickly.
The problems it solves
- Slow or unstable sites on mobile, which lose visitors before they read a word.
- A confusing structure: important pages that are hard to reach, for people and for Google.
- Redesigns that wipe out traffic, because URLs change without redirects.
- Sites that do not convert: no clear invitation to call, write or book, long forms, no data on what happens.
- Sites that are hard to use for people who rely on screen readers, zoom or the keyboard only.
- Sites held hostage by the supplier: domain registered to the agency, logins never handed over, no documentation.
What kind of website do you need?
- Brochure website. A few well-crafted pages that present your business, services and contact details. The right choice for professionals, tradespeople and local businesses that want to be found in their area, together with local SEO.
- Company website. More services, more locations, pages by sector or product, a news section, different forms for different requests. It needs a structure designed to grow without turning into a maze.
- Blog or editorial site. The value is in the content: categories, authors, internal links and structured data have to keep working with hundreds of articles.
- Multilingual website. Each language has its own pages and URLs, with the versions linked to one another through hreflang. Translating is not enough: searches change from one country to the next, which is where international SEO comes in.
- Website with bookings or requests. Calendar, availability, email confirmations and, if needed, a connection to your management software. When the logic gets complex, it is time for a web app. Hotels and B&Bs have their own requirements, which we cover with dedicated hospitality websites.
- Online store. Catalog, cart, payments, shipping and invoicing have needs of their own: see our page on e-commerce development.
Which pages a company website should have
Every site is different, but a company website that works almost always has these pages:
- Home: who you are, what you do, who for, and the next step in plain sight.
- One page for each main service or product, each built around a specific customer search. A single page listing every service ranks poorly for all of them.
- About: people, location, history, what sets you apart. It helps customers trust you and helps Google understand who is behind the site.
- Contact: phone, email, address, opening hours, map and a short form.
- Privacy and cookie policy, linked to the consent banner.
- In-depth pages or a blog, if you want to answer the questions people ask before they choose.
WordPress or custom development: when each makes sense
We have no technology to push on you at all costs. We choose based on what the site has to do and who will update it.
- WordPress makes sense when you want to update text and articles yourself, the site is mostly content and the features are the usual ones. We set it up with a few carefully chosen plugins, a lightweight theme and managed updates: every extra plugin is more code to maintain and a possible way in for attackers.
- Custom development (React with TanStack Start and server-side rendering, or PHP with CodeIgniter 4, on MySQL or PostgreSQL) makes sense when you need top performance, thousands of pages generated from data, integrations with management software or APIs, private areas or logic that no plugin handles well. If your project is heading that way, see also custom software.
Either way, pages reach Google as complete HTML, without depending on JavaScript to show the content.
What we do and what we hand over
- Structure and keywords. We start from keyword research to decide which pages you need and how to link them. What you get: the site map, with the pages and the searches each one answers.
- Design and content. Responsive layout, clear copy, visible calls to action, short forms. What you get: drafts of the main pages for your approval, then the site.
- Built-in technical SEO. Clean URLs, titles and meta descriptions, structured data, sitemap, canonical tags, language versions if needed. What you get: a site ready for indexing and verified in Search Console.
- Performance. Optimized images, lightweight code, stable loading. What you get: Core Web Vitals measurements before launch.
- Usability, privacy and cookies. Structure and contrast everyone can read, a properly configured consent banner, linked policies. What you get: the list of cookies and third-party tools on the site.
- Measurement. Search Console, Analytics and lead tracking, in line with user consent. What you get: access and a first report after launch.
- Handover. What you get: admin access, the code, a domain registered in your name and essential documentation for updating the site or changing supplier.
SEO from day one and Core Web Vitals
A site ranks better when it is designed for search from the start, rather than fixed afterwards. We follow Google's SEO Starter Guide: useful, original content, descriptive URLs, logically linked pages, titles that say what is on the page.
Then we work on Core Web Vitals, the metrics Google uses to measure page experience. According to web.dev, a good experience means LCP (loading of the main content) within 2.5 seconds, INP (responsiveness to clicks) within 200 milliseconds and CLS (layout stability) within 0.1, measured at the 75th percentile of visits. To get there we choose suitable hosting, the right image formats and as few third-party scripts as possible.
After launch, the site is the foundation: growing it takes content and consistency, which you can entrust to our SEO consulting.
Usability, cookies and privacy
A site everyone can use. Contrast, alt text, headings in order, keyboard navigation, forms with clear labels. A site built this way is easier for everyone to use, on a phone or on a computer.
Cookies and privacy. The cookie banner has to ask for real consent: a pre-ticked box does not count. We configure the banner so that marketing and analytics tools only start after consent, and we tell you what the privacy notice must contain. The final wording remains the job of your privacy advisor.
Security by design
Security is not something you add at the end. We design it together with the site, with reference to the most common risks listed in the OWASP Top 10, such as broken access control, security misconfigurations and compromised third-party components.
- HTTPS across the whole site and a firewall on the server;
- an isolated system user for each application, with the minimum privileges it needs;
- passwords and keys never written in the code or stored in the repository;
- automatic security updates and as few plugins as possible;
- verified backups, with restore tests;
- incremental, reversible releases: if something goes wrong, we roll back to the previous version.
For ongoing care, we also offer website security and maintenance.
Rebuilding your site without losing traffic
If you already have a site, we start from what brings in visits and enquiries today. Google's guidance is clear: when URLs change, every old address needs a permanent server-side redirect to the new one, with no chains, and redirects should stay in place for at least a year. Fluctuations in the first few weeks are normal, longer for large sites, and it is better to change one thing at a time. We handle this as an SEO site migration, with a redirect map prepared before launch.
How we work
- Analysis. Goals, customers, competitors and, if there is one, your current site and its data.
- Strategy and structure. Customer searches, the pages you need, the path to an enquiry.
- Design and development. Drafts for your approval, then development on a staging environment you can see.
- Pre-launch checks. Performance, indexing, forms, cookie consent, redirects.
- Launch and measurement. We check indexing, performance and enquiries, and fix what needs fixing.
How long it takes to build a website
It depends on the number of pages, the features required and how quickly copy, photos and approvals come in: that last point is often what decides the timeline. The quote gives you a delivery date, with the phases and what we need from you in each. After launch, Google has to crawl and assess the new pages: for a new site, the first signals in Search Console usually arrive within the first few months.
How much website development costs
Indicative starting prices, + VAT: brochure website from €1,500, company website from €3,000, online store from €5,000. A landing page or a single piece of work on an existing site starts at €500. The final quote grows with:
- the number of pages and of different page templates;
- the features: bookings, private areas, multiple languages, an online store;
- the copy to write and the photos to produce or select;
- integrations with management software, CRM or other services;
- migration from an existing site.
Recurring costs such as domain, hosting and any maintenance are separate.
What we do not do
- We do not launch sites without measurements. Performance, indexing and tracking are checked before going live.
- We do not tie you to us. Code, domain, access, content and data stay yours, even if one day you change supplier.
- We do not promise rankings just because you have a new site.
- We do not fill your site with plugins to add features nobody will use.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to build a website?
Indicative starting prices, + VAT: brochure website from €1,500, company website from €3,000, online store from €5,000; a landing page or single piece of work from €500. The final price grows with the number of pages, features such as bookings or multiple languages, the copy to write, integrations and any migration from an existing site.

Can I build the site myself with WordPress or a website builder?
Yes, for a small business it can be a start. The limits show up when you need a structure designed for SEO, performance, multiple languages, integrations or a rebuild without losing traffic: at that point a mistake costs more than doing the job properly.
Is SEO included in website development?
Yes, technical SEO and a structure based on customer searches are included: URLs, titles, structured data, sitemap, performance and Search Console. Growing the site over time with new content is a separate service, SEO consulting, from €300 a month + VAT.
Do I need a cookie banner and a privacy policy?
If the site uses non-essential cookies, for example for profiling or marketing, you need a banner that asks for real consent and a clear privacy notice. We configure the banner so that tools only start after consent; the wording should be validated by your privacy advisor.
Can you build a site for the Italian market if my company is based abroad?
Yes. We work online with clients in Italy and abroad, and we plan the Italian pages around what Italian customers actually search for. If you need Italian and English versions, each language gets its own pages and URLs, linked with hreflang.
Brochure website or online store?
A brochure website helps you get found and receive enquiries; an online store is for selling online, with a catalog, payments and shipping to manage every day. If you sell few products or your catalog rarely changes, it often makes sense to start with a brochure website and add the store later.
Does the website stay mine?
Yes. Code, domain, access, content and data stay yours, even if one day you stop working with us. We hand them over at launch, together with essential documentation.
